2. What Data We Collect
We only collect the data strictly necessary to provide you with our service:
- Registration Data: Email address, password (securely encrypted), and the optional name of your restaurant.
- Usage Data: Information about the menus you create (sections, subcategories, dishes, prices, notes, and uploaded logos).
- Technical Browsing Data: IP address and browser user-agent string (necessary for system stability, security, and abuse prevention).
3. Purposes of Processing
We use your data exclusively to:
- Create, maintain, and manage your personal account on SpeedMenu.
- Allow you to generate, modify, customize, and publish your digital menu in real time.
- Provide requested technical assistance in case of system malfunctions.
- Manage billing and active subscription plans through external payment platforms.
4. Third-Party Services (Data Processors)
To ensure the proper functioning of SpeedMenu, we rely on external infrastructures and services that process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited): Used to handle secure user authentication (login/registration) and store restaurant menu databases (Firestore). Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: Hosts and delivers the platform's pages and files (Cloudflare Pages and its content delivery network) and stores and delivers the dish photos uploaded by restaurants (Cloudflare R2). To deliver a page or a photo and to protect the service from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as the visitor's IP address. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: A secure payment infrastructure used to handle transactions for subscription plans. SpeedMenu does not intercept, view, or store your complete credit card information in its systems. Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited): Used to integrate and properly display interface typography. Loading fonts triggers a direct request from your browser to Google's servers, which temporarily detects the visitor's IP address.
- Google Gemini API (Google): Used to automatically generate translations of menu items (section names, dish descriptions and tags, notes) into every supported display language at the moment the restaurant owner saves them from the admin panel. The original text is sent, through our Firebase Cloud Function, to Google's servers to process the translation; the resulting translations are stored in our database, so visitors' browsers never contact the translation service when viewing a menu. 5. Use of Cookies (Cookie Policy)
SpeedMenu is developed following data minimization principles. We do not use profiling cookies, advertising tracking, or third-party analytics.
The platform solely uses:
- Essential Technical Cookies: Generated by the Google Firebase infrastructure, these are strictly necessary to keep your session active and identified after you log in, preventing you from having to re-enter your credentials on every page change.
- Browser LocalStorage: A small local storage area used exclusively to record that you have dismissed and accepted the informational cookie banner, preventing the notice from repeatedly appearing on subsequent page loads.
In accordance with applicable regulations (GDPR), the exclusive use of technical cookies aimed at delivering the service does not require prior user consent, without prejudice to the transparency obligations fulfilled by this policy.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
In compliance with the European GDPR regulation, you have the right at any time to:
- Obtain confirmation of the existence of your data and request access to it.
- Modify, update, or correct your venue's information yourself directly within the editing dashboard.
- Permanently delete your account: Within the user area (by clicking on your avatar in the top right corner), there is an explicit "Delete account" command. Selecting this will instantly and permanently delete your profile, credentials, and all associated menus and dishes from our databases in a completely irreversible manner.
